Recipe for Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri

Many people love to have a nice cold beverage on a hot summer day. Myself included. Summer time is a perfect opportunity to have a margarita or daiquiri. However, what do you do if you're hosting younger guests or people who do not enjoy alcohol? Sometimes you may have a pregnant guest and you will need pregnant safe beverages as well. There is always the option of serving lemonade or iced tea. Those ideas though can be very lame. You can always liven up the party whether it be a small gathering of friends to a large business meeting by making the same alcoholic beverages listed above but "virgin"! "Virgin"? you may question. Yes, a virgin drink refers to a drink without alcohol. Kind of funny wouldn't you say? A recipe for virgin strawberry daiquiri that I found that I enjoy is as follows: 2-3 large strawberries hulled, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed orange juice, 3/4 cup cold pear juice or lemon lime soda, and 4 ice cubes. Blend it all together and voila, a delicious treat! If you want to really impress your guests, put the mixture in a fancy glass and garnish with fruit, maybe even a little umbrella! ENJOY!
